Ute

Ute was born and grew up in Stuttgart, Germany. She earned her degree in Hotel Catering and Management in 1991. Her background includes bookkeeping for the Albany Hilton and  the German Publishing Company Deutsche Verlags-Anstalt. Ute, her husband Craig, and their twin daughters Julia and Sarah spent several years in Germany before settling in the Helderberg Hilltowns in 2002. After adopting her first dogs Velvet, a Labrador Retriever and Bunny, a poodle mix, she fell in love with the power of positive training methods. This led her to join the Kennel staff at Shaker Animal Hospital, where she learned all she could about dog behavior and tried a variety of different dog sports including tracking, agility and rally. 

Ute joined the AVT family in October 2021 as a Front Desk Magician. In her spare time, she enjoys knitting, traveling, gardening, learning languages and playing computer games.
